91´«Ã½ Emergency Management supports university needs in emergency planning, emergency preparedness, and business continuity.  We also help build a more disaster-resilient campus community through education, training, exercises, and site assessments. ÌýÌý

During emergency incidents or major university events, Emergency Management activates and administers the 91´«Ã½ Emergency Operations Center and supports the planning for evacuations, sheltering, or other forms of emergency response that may be needed. ÌýÌý

Emergency Planning

Emergency Planning provides a framework for how campus departments and partner agencies respond to major emergencies on campus. This includes prioritizing all campus affiliates and responders, protection of university assets, maintenance and continuity of campus services, protection of the environment, and restoration of general campus operations. In addition, Business Continuity, or Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP), helps organizations keep achieving their goals when experiencing emergency impacts like reduced capabilities or being displaced from your workplace.Ìý

Emergency Training and Exercises

Through planning, drills, tabletop exercises, and full-scale simulations, Emergency Management brings together internal staff and external partners to test procedures, strengthen communication, and identify areas for improvement. This ongoing training helps ensure a timely, organized, and effective response to emergencies that protects lives, property, and the community.Ìý
