Meet your Ombuds!

At the CU Ombuds Office, our strength lies in the rich diversity of our team’s expertise. With backgrounds spanning academic affairs, higher education leadership, conflict resolution, counseling psychology, and law, we bring a multifaceted perspective to supporting the CU community. Whether you are a student, faculty member, administrator, or staff member, our varied experiences allow us to meet you where you are, understand your unique challenges, and help you find a constructive path forward.

While our professional journeys are diverse, our team is united by a shared commitment to the fundamental standards of ombuds practice:

  • Confidentiality — Your trust is our foundation. Discussions with our team are kept strictly confidential to the maximum extent permitted by law. We provide a safe, off-the-record space for you to talk through concerns without fear of exposure.
  • Informality — We serve as an off-the-record, informal resource. We do not participate in formal investigations, grievances, or legal proceedings, allowing you to explore options and solutions on your own terms.
  • Neutrality — As impartial practitioners, we do not take sides or advocate for any single individual or entity. Instead, we advocate for fair, equitable processes and help you navigate conflict objectively.
  • Independence — Operating outside traditional administrative channels, our office functions independently from campus adminsitration. This structure ensures our guidance remains uninfluenced by institutional interests.

No matter how complex the situation, our team is here to listen, explore options, and empower you to navigate your campus experience with clarity and confidence.
