JILA is one of the nation’s leading research institutes in the physical sciences.
JILA is theĚýjoint research, training and technology development institute between CU and NIST and the nation’s first full University/Government partnership. The high quality and productivityĚýof our scientists and trainees are supported by JILA’s unique structure and technicalĚýand administrative resources. JILA’s four spheres of excellence—Research, Training,ĚýTechnology Development and Collaborative Partnerships—focus on quantum sciencesĚýand technologies with strong programs in atomic, molecular and optical (AMO) physics,Ěýastrophysics, biophysics and chemical physics. This currently includes a focus on the broadĚýCU and national priorities of Quantum Information Sciences and Technologies (QIST).
