This festival is comprised of a series of staged readings of previously unproduced work written by current CU students. All shows will be cast from the auditions (i.e. there will be no callbacks). Rehearsal schedules will be created based upon availability. Staged readings are a low-stakes way for early career performers to gain some experience working with a director and ensemble. The performance will see actors have their scripts in front of them on a music stand, so no memorization is necessary. Blocking is scarce, costumes are minimal, and props are non-existent. Here is an example of how these plays will be staged: .Ìý

This year's productions are a mix of comedy and drama straight plays. It is suggested that you prepare one 60-90 second monologue that showcases you as a performer. If you do not have something prepared, you may choose one of the monologues found in this document: . We will have printed copies of these at the auditions.

For in-person auditions, in addition to completing the above form, please use this link to select an audition slot from the available pool: .

If you are unable to audition in person, you may link a video audition to this form.

We are still finalizing directors and performance dates, and we expect to announce those later on this week.
