Federiga Bindi featured on NPR podcast about United States, Italian relations:

One of the United States’ last allies in Europe is faltering. After recent comments made by President Trump toward Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Italy is now more against the Trump Administration than ever. IBS Affiliate and Professor of Political Science and Jean Monnet Chair at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Federiga Bindi, remarked on the incident for NPR’s Here & Now Newsroom. She warns that while relations can be mended in time, this incident does not bode well for the United States. “For example, Italy is one of the countries that is blocking the suspension of the EU-Israel agreement.” said Bindi. “If Italy breaks ranks, that could have enormous consequences on EU policymaking. So this is what we need to watch out for.”
