FLEXD Director

The FLEXD Director supports transformational leadership development by providing meaningful opportunities to the PLC community.

The FLEXD Director works towards personal, professional, and leadership growth through research, planning, design, iteration, and implementation of the following activities:

  • Crafting a fellowship experience that parallels the vision set forth by program leadership.
  • Fostering a healthy, positive culture for all fellows through mental and physical health advocacy.
  • Continually collaborates with professional staff, faculty, the Board of Advocates, and the team leads to help design programming, change initiatives, and desired development opportunities using the PLC Design Process.
  • Facilitating goal setting and change implementation through the format of "small extraordinary steps."
  • Providing skill and emotional support, encouraging development, mobilizing both individuals and teams towards achievement of small extraordinary steps, as well as larger, year-end goals.
  • Planning and implementing FLEXD Welcome Week.
  • Delivering enrichment activities through weekly seminars/workshops, as well as guest lectures from leaders across campus.
  • Devoting significant investment in the personal, professional, and leadership development of all FLEXD fellows including real-time feedback and peer led development.
  • Demonstrating a strong sense of community, appreciation for the strengths and weaknesses of PLC, creativity, growth mindset, and humility. 

FLEXD fellowsmust pursue excellence and personal improvement because we need innovative and ethical leaders who are going to create meaningful change.
