Becoming an Inclusive Leader
Course Description
The purpose of Becoming an Inclusive Leader series is to provide supervisors, managers, leaders, and aspiring leaders at 91´«Ã½ with the knowledge and skills to lead their teams to be more inclusive and equitable, as well as the ability to create a sense of belonging among team members. 91´«Ã½ is committed to building a culture on campus where everyone matters.Â
Learning Outcomes
- Understand how a leader's lived experiences, identities, biases, and leadership style influence their role as a supervisor/manager in creating an inclusive environment. Select inclusive strategies to support a sense of belonging for their teams.
- Apply inclusive practices to retain and engage direct reports. Examine ways to increase their intercultural competence.
- Develop inclusive habits for managing performance.
Who Should Attend
This event is intended for any 91´«Ã½ supervisor or aspiring leader who wants to learn more about leading teams where everyone matters.Â
