In recognition of National Financial Literacy month, the Division of Employee Health & Well-Being is excited to share Financial Fitness; two weeks of focused programming (April 6–17) designed to help you feel more confident, informed, and in control of your financial life.

Facilitated by financial experts from TIAA, PERA, Elevations Credit Union, CU System, Collegelnvest, Medicare, and more, Financial Fitness offerings highlight the tools, resources, and guidance already available to you, making it easier to take meaningful steps toward your financial goals, no matter where you’re starting. Check out the full schedule of sessions and register to attend!

We are especially thrilled to welcome CU alum and Accredited Financial Counselor, Holly Morphew, on Wednesday, April 8 to deliver our keynote session, “Wealth is for Everyone: Reclaiming Financial Power in Today's Economy."

Please join us on Wednesday, April 8 from 9-10:30 am in Koelbel 127.

Breakfast will be served and sponsored by Elevations Credit Union. This session is also available virtually.

As a Volunteer Marshal, you help make it magical for the students and families taking part! Volunteer and help reduce waste from students moving out of on campus housing during our Give & Go donation drive. Volunteers will help collect and sort donated items so that they can be distributed back to the CU and local community. There are three volunteer shifts available:

Runner: during the main move out week help CU Environmental Center student staff collect donations from residence halls on campus. Shifts will include organizing and moving donations, tidying donation areas and talking to students about the benefits of donating
Buff Pantry Donation Sorting Volunteer: after move out ends help the CU Buff Pantry sort collected food and personal care items. Food items that are usable will be taken to the Buff Pantry for the CU community to pick up for free. Expired and opened items will be composted.
CU Surplus Store Sorting Volunteer: after move out ends help the staff at the CU Surplus Store sort through donated items. Items will be stocked in the CU Surplus Store for resale at low cost and saved for sale during fall welcome in August.

The Conference on World Affairs (CWA) is a chance for CU staff, faculty, students and community members to learn, listen, and connect. Sessions cover big topics like leadership, climate, community, and new ideas. Attending a CWA session that sounds interesting to you can give you fresh ideas, help you meet people across campus, and bring new energy back to your team.

If you are interested in attending any CWA sessions as an individual, or with others on your team, please check with your supervisor first to make sure work coverage is available.

Supervisors, we’re excited to invite you to the April Supervisor Community of Practice (CoP) for the Business, Finance, and Infrastructure (BFI) team!

This month, we’re trying something new. In addition to hearing insights from several BFI departments, we’ll host a Leadership Idea Exchange — a fun, interactive session where supervisors share the tools, templates, habits, and strategies that make their teams stronger. You’ll walk away with a crowd‑sourced collection of practical, supervisor‑tested ideas you can use right away.

To make the most of our Leadership Idea Exchange, we invite you to come prepared with one or two tools, templates, scripts, or habits that support your work as a supervisor. These can be simple, everyday practices or something you’ve created — anything you’ve found helpful and are willing to share with peers.

We’ll kick off with time to connect over food, meet colleagues from across BFI, and then dive into a lively, community‑building session designed to spark creativity and cross‑unit collaboration.

And yes — there will be food, plus a chance to win some CU swag.
