Luca Corradini received the Laurea degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in industrial electronics from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2004 and 2008, respectively. From 2008 to 2011 he was a postdoctoral Research Associate at the Colorado Power Electronics Center (CoPEC), University of Colorado at Boulder, USA.
Dr. Corradini has been Assistant Professor with the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova, Italy, from 2011 to 2017, and Associate Professor at the same University from 2017 to 2024. Since 2022 he has been Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering of the University of Colorado Boulder, USA.
Dr. Corradini's research interests in power electronics include modeling, design, and control of switched-mode power converters, control and balancing techniques for dc-dc multi-level converters, advanced modulation techniques for bi-directional dc-dc converters, and power electronics design and optimization for electrified transportation systems and grid-connected applications.
Dr. Corradini is co-author of over one hundred articles published in international journals and conference proceedings, and main author of the textbook , for which he received the 2022 Textbook Recognition Award from the College of Engineering and Applied Science of the University of Colorado Boulder. In 2008, Dr. Corradini received the second prize paper award from the Industrial Power Converter Committee of the IEEE Industry Applications Society. He was General Chair of the 19th IEEE Workshop on Control and Modeling for Power Electronics (COMPEL 2018) held in Padova, Italy, on June 25-28 2018. Â Dr. Corradini served as Chair of the IEEE-PELS Technical Committee 1 - Control and Modeling in Power Electronics from 2023 to 2024, and he has been serving in the Editorial Board of the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, first as Associate Editor (2015-2026), then as Co-Editor-in-Chief (2026-present).
