Undergraduate Student Summer Research Fellowship
The ENVS Summer Research Fellowship program supports ENVS undergraduate majors to work with an ENVS faculty member or faculty affiliate and/or their research group for the summer. The student may contribute to an existing scholarly project (including a project led by a faculty member, postdoc, or graduate student) or design their own independent project (e.g., honors) carried out under the mentorship of a faculty member.ÌýÌý
Students will receive up to $3,000 in fellowship funding which may be used as a stipend to cover the student’s time and living expenses during the fellowship or allocated to cover the cost of data collection, travel, conference attendance, or other project-related costs. This opportunity is available to all ENVS majors. Students may re-apply over multiple years.ÌýÌý
To apply, students must first identify a faculty mentor to support the development of the proposal. The faculty advisor will be asked to provide a brief mentorship statement outlining how they will support the student fellow’s training and professional development during the fellowship. The student applicant and faculty advisor should independently apply.
