Disability Services Portal Transition
Disability Services is continuing the transition to AIM, our student-facing accommodation management system. As we complete this transition, you may notice updates to our website and processes. Thank you for your patience during this period.
Please use AIM for your accommodation-related needs. If you have questions or need assistance during this transition, please contact your Access Coordinator or the Disability Services front office at dsinfo@colorado.eduĚý(303-492-8671). Please do not attempt to log in to the previous accommodation management system, Accommodate Portal.
With AIM, students can:
- Manage accommodation letters
- Submit accommodation requests
- Request appointments with their Access Coordinator after completing the registration process
- Access accommodation-related services and resources
Academic Accommodations
Testing Accommodations are designed to provide students with disabilities an equal opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned when taking exams and quizzes.
Students must be registered with Disability Services and approved for note-taking accommodations in order to access note-taking services. Examples of note-taking accommodations include: the ability to use technology to take notes in class, access to Genio and additional options that can be discussed with your Access Coordinator.
The Flex Plan addresses attendance and assignment related issues for students with disabilities. The Flex Plan is intended to create a reasonable modification, where appropriate, to the classroom attendance and assignment deadlines policies of each course.
Alternate format of text refers to the conversion of printed academic materials to accessible formats for students with a variety of disabilities. The majority of the students with this accommodation at 91´«Ă˝ require the provision of accessible (readable) electronic files, which students access using software or apps on their computers, tablets and phones.
A service animal refers to any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.
