SPIKE Curriculum Ambassadors

SPIKE Curriculum Ambassadors (SCAs) are the frontline representatives for sustainability education development, integration and enhancement in their respective colleges and schools. SCAs work closely with fellow ambassadors and SPIKE Center leadership while maintaining close collaboration with related organizations such as BFA and school/college leadership.

Illustrative outcomes from SCAs efforts that benefit the SPIKE Center and CU include:

  • Greater integration of new sustainability modules, classes, certification programs, credentials, badges, minors/majors in existing CU curriculum
  • Measurable reductions in campus carbon use/water/waste reduction in these activities and others on campus
  • Contribution to reductions emissions through procurement strategies covering scope 1/2/3
  • Stronger partnerships with local community lead to increased internship and job opportunities, increasing job placement rates
  • Measurable increase in engagement of historically marginalized voices
  • Measurable impact and transition of CU’s reputation as a knowledge leader in sustainability
  • Emergence of 91´«Ã½ as a globally-, nationally- and locally recognized hub for sustainability education
  • Development of capable, confident and courageous next generation sustainability leaders from the 91´«Ã½ student communityÌý
