This 8-week Legal English course develops reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for legal contexts. Through case-based learning and interactive activities, students interpret legal texts, master essential terminology, and practice writing clear, concise legal documents. Seminar discussions and Socratic questioning strengthen oral communication, while a focus on critical thinking and professional language use prepares students for success in their LLM studies.

Attend the scheduled course with an instructor twice a week and complete additional coursework online at your convenience.Ìý
Please note. This course does not satisfy English language proficiencyÌý requirements for any LLM and is not affiliated with the Colorado School of Law. It is designed for students who are thinking about pursuing an LLM or are already admitted and want to improve their Legal English prior to beginning an LLM. This is a non-credit course and is not transferrable to any other program.
